Punk Bands I Need To Know

I've been on a rock history tear as of late, primarily interested in the history of punk. I keep meaning to ask my good friend and punk mentor Steve P. to let me "borrow" some of his extensive punk collection. He's my go to guy for all things punk, but for now I'm opening the phone lines, so to speak, to you readers. Below are a list of bands I need to know more of. Is there anyone missing from that list I should also include, and what albums would you recommend. Also, if you are so inclined, I would warmly welcome CD mixes of the various bands if you want to help me in my crash course on punk music. Most of this list came from the wonderful punk "overview" documentary, Punk: Attitude, which I highly reccommend (and will probably end up on on Wednesday's Top Ten). Yeah, Gordon I know that doc is on your Netflix Queue, move it to the top my friend. Trust me.

Bands I have NOTHING of, but I should:

MC5
New York Dolls
Iggy & The Stooges
The Dictators
Suicide
Television
Patti Smith
Dead Boys
Dead Kennedys
The Damned
The Dickies
Magazine
Buzzcocks
The Slits
Public Image
Sonic Youth
Agnostic Front
The Germs
The Screamers
Minor Threat
Circle Jerks
Bad Brains
Gang of Four

Bands I have a few things of (mostly 'hits' collections):
The Ramones
The Clash
Sex Pistols
Fugazi
The Minutemen
Bikini Kill
The Pixies
Rancid
Velvet Underground
Iggy Pop

Oh I forgot to mention if you also want to pass along DVDs or books I should read, also leave me a comment.

More to follow

I just downloaded the New York Dolls 1st album this morning off of iTunes, since it was fairly cheap. Man, that IS a great album. Reminds me of the Rolling Stones had they been injected with a bit of Velvet Underground. I'll be listen to that album quite a bit I can tell.

I forgot to tell you to get the first Stiff Little Fingers album, Inflammable Material. Great all the way through, sort of an Irish Clash

Let me second Ubersteve's recommendation, and also encourage you to track down SLF's second album, "Nobody's Heroes"
