Lefty's Friday Three Questions for May 11th
It's Friday and it's time to play...the weakest link!
Sorry wrong show...it's 3 questions time. My ansers to the questions are in the comments section, where you can leave your own insightful answers as well.
1. What magazines do you read on a regular basis? How many do you subscribe to?
2. It looks like a new version of The Bionic Woman will be coming back to television on NBC next Fall. What old television show would you love to see return? Have anyone in mind for casting?
3. What season or series finale are you most looking forward to this May?
Comments
1. Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Wittenburg Door, Utne, Mother Jones, The Sun, The Progressive, Wizard, Comic Journal, Back Issue, Newsweek, Time, Hittin the Note, and Official Xbox Magazine. I subscribe to five of those.
2. I'd pull a Lou Grant and update Murphy Brown as a drama with Candace Bergen as the head of online & print news outfit. She'd have a new cast, and feature crime and political intrigue. Maybe set it in D.C.
3. Well for a while it was Heroes, but after Wednesday episode of Lost, I'm now very curious to learn of John Locke's fate.

1.Semi-regular reader of Mojo from the UK. I pick up RS from time to time. At various times I've subscribed to RS, Sports Illustrated, SPIN, Football Weekly, and ICE (CD newsletter-don't know if it's still around). The only current sub is American Heritage.
2. Stick with the Bionics, but it would have to be the 600 Million Dollar Man. Cool modern special effects would add some shine. Cast Henry Simmons (NYPD Blue, Shark) as Steve Austin and Robert Forster as Oscar Goldman.
3. All my new network shows were either cancelled (Smith, Daybreak, etc.) or suck to the point that I've dropped them (Shark, feh. Watching James Woods tied to an anchor and dropped into the horrible ocean of cliche ridden formula TV writing every week gets downright depressing). Sopranos better not dissapoint.

1. Newsweek, TVG, EW. The are others (Guideposts, e.g.) that come in the house, but I never read them.
2. Again, I'm just not that nostalgic.
3. Gilmore Girls. But whatever happened with Men in Trees?

1. I currently don't subscribe to any, but in the past I subscribed to The Men's Journal, National Geographic, and the New Yorker. Often I will pick up literary journals, stuff like Pleaides or Third Genre.
2. I would like to see the modern redo of Charlie's Angels, Simon & Simon, and Moonlighting. Also, could they update MASH with an Iraq setting, or would that be too wierd?
I already saw my season finale with the return of Starbuck on BSG. Yahhoooo!!

Oh, and ROG, you can watch new episodes of Men in Trees online at ABC.com. They are doing webisodes.
