It's Thursday? Sheesh.

I don't have the energy to post much today. I'm considering taking a short sabbatical here on the blog, but I'll wait to see how I feel after the weekend.

Tonight I'm hanging around work to catch Derek Webb perform in concert. My good friend and musical guru, Ed Stewart, turned me onto Derek and I've been a fan ever since. I like so few Christian artists nowadays in the age of the Christian music business. Maybe it's just me, but much of it is water-down pablum that feels more like marketing and less like musicianship. So I deeply value an artist that I find authentic much in the vein of Rich Mullins, Keith Green, and a few others.

Speaking of Christianity, I am going to church this Sunday. I haven't done that in years. This Sunday my wife and I are going to return to the church we were married at. It bills itself as a lively, liberal, justice-seeking church, and it's welcoming of our GLBT Christians in our midst...you know, what a church should be. Anyway, before you know it, I'll be reading the bible again, or even praying. It feels like I'm shaking away the cobwebs in my head and heart.
