Six Degrees of Mrs. Lefty
Sometimes I am amazed how small our world of 6,628,381,544 (and counting) people can be. Even in the United States in which there are 303,263,975 (and growing) people, sometimes you never realize the weird stuff that can go on.
Forget Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, the new game to play is Six Degrees of Mrs. Lefty (aka Kelly Brown). Just recently my wife got an invite on her Facebook from a person she went to high school with. The high school she attended was a small Christian HS in a small town in Southern California. It's not unusual to get request from former classmates on these social networking sites, but what was really weird was this person sent my wife a message saying, "I didn't know you knew Scott Johnson."
Now Scott Johnson was a friend we first met in college, approximately 270 miles away. S. Johnson met Kelly's former high school classmate at a social gathering in North Carolina. During a conversation, Scott overheard where this person grew up and remarked that he knew a person who lived there he met in college.. Sure enough, she went to high school with my wife.
Weird.
And for those of you playing at home it is Kevin Bacon (in River Wild) with Meryl Streep (in Silkwood) with Cher who was married to Gregg Allman who plays in the Allman Brothers with Otiel Burbridge who is friends with Mrs. Lefty.
