Three Questions Theme Week (Day Four)
I feel like I dove into a big big ocean of words. I just started Bob Spitz' tome on The Beatles...now I have an each to pick up early Beatles album (my catalog of Beatles music starts at Revolver). Also I just got word that Netflix has Across The Universe on its way to me. Anyway, here are today's Beatles themed questions:
1. What are your top five Beatles songs?
2. If John had not been shot and killed do you think The Beatles would have reunited?
3. Do you have any strange story to share about people's love or hate towards the band?
Comments
1. In now particular order: Happiness Is A Warm Gun, (I consider these one long song) Golden Slumbers->Carry That Weight->The End, Why Don't We Do It In The Road?, In My Life, Ballad of John and Yoko
2. Yes, but only once for some special benefit. They wouldn't tour afterwards.
3. Yes, a long time ago when I was Asst. manager at a comic book shop this pretrib-Christian came in with a rolled up scroll marking the days and time Jesus was going to come back, and he said that The Beatles were supposed to be prophets but they had turned their backs on God in favor of their own personal fortune. I think he used it a reason for John's assassination as well.

1. C'mon, Chris, that's like naming your favorite family member!
1. Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End (medley = one song - how funny! I hadn't even read your post yet!
2. A Day In the Life
3. Let It Be (album version)
4.Strawberry Fields Forever
5. Penny Lane
ask me tomorrow; it'll be different.
2. I really think John had had enough, though who knows what further middle age would have brought. Maybe he would have softened and recorded just to get Paul from making such crappy solo records. Imagine the Wilburys with a fun-loving John?!?!?!?
3. My own - I'll never forget the National Inquirer's publishing of Lennon's photos right after he had been shot in front of the Dakota. Can still see the picture as clear as day; him flat on his back. I tear up every December 8th.

1. Damn, that's hard. I'll give you five, but tomorrow, it might be a different five: Got to Get You Into My Life, Tomorrow Never Knows, The Word, Ticket to Ride, Don't Let Me Down.
2. Yes, they would get together like CSNY does, every once in a while, maybe for a Live Aid kind of thing. Maybe even one or two albums.
3. Still pissed with the NY Post for posting a picture of him in the morgue on the FRONT PAGE.
