Lefty's Friday Three Questions for April 11th

Today's three questions are going to be music themed:

1. So 2008 inductees were hit or miss, if you got to make the call what five bands or artists would you induct? For a list of who is already in the HoF, click on this link.

2. Name 3 songs you would love to see Bruce Springsteen, U2, or Pearl Jam cover?

3. What's the last three albums you've purchased?

Bonus Question: Any music releases this year you are really looking forward to?

Comments

1. The Faces, Albert King, Thin Lizzy, Love, Journey

2. Bruce Springsteen: Where the Streets Have No Name (U2), Power To The People (John Lennon), You Got the Silver (Rolling Stones version)

U2: Come Together (The Beatles), Street Fighting Man (Rolling Stones), Surrender (Cheap Trick)

Pearl Jam: The Song Remains The Same (Led Zeppelin), TV Party (Black Flag), Sunshine of Your Love (Cream)

3. All via emusic: Beggar's Banquet, Between the Buttons, Flowers by the Rolling Stones

Bonus: I am really looking forward to the early U2 album re-releases.

1. Ya know, maybe some pop band like the Doobie Brothers or Chicago. The non-performer I most want to see is Rick Rubin.
2. Covers done poorly are SO boring that I'll be pleasantly surprised by whatever.
3. Actually 7 albums: http://tinyurl.com/5xl36t

Just the bonus:

Actually, there are two that have just come out that I'm really wanting: Justin Townes Earle's debut (Steve Earle's kid) and Hayes Carll's first release for Lost Highway.

#2

Springsteen:I know only some of the more popular works of Springsteen, and so I don't have enough of a musical imagination to sense the works of others that he could adapt.

U2: How about "Across the Universe" from the Beatles, "Like a Rolling Stone" from Dylan, and "Changes" by Bowie

Pearl Jam: "Solitude" by Black Sabbath, "Never Before" by Deep Purple, "Bell Bottom Blues" by Derek and the Dominos
